• Lead the ATS team to ensure compliance with Section 508, ADA, and WCAG 2.2 regulations, overseeing three staff members and 3-8 students.
• Scanned 15,000+ web pages using tools like PopeTech, AXE, WAVE, ANDI, and SilkTide to ensure WCAG 2.2 compliance. Also assisted developers with making their platforms meeet WCAG standards.
• Reviewed campus IT requests for accessibility barriers, developed Equally Effective Alternate Access Plans (EEAAPs) for high-risk products.
• Trained 25+ student assistants on document remediation, resulting in 15,000+ pages of instructional materials in two years, saving roughly $100,000. We use tools such as Adobe, CommonLook, Equidox, CidiLabs tool suite, and more. Also deployed new workflows to reduce captioning costs by 70% in one semester.
• Engaged campus stake holders on new accessibility developments, laws, and services, and attended student, staff, and faculty focused events to increase awareness and buy-in on accessibility.
• Lead and chaired four campus wide meetings, including Accessible Procurement Sub Committee, Accessible Web Sub Committee, Accessible Instructional Materials Sub Committee, and the Accessible Technology Initiative Executive Steering Committee.
