Accessible Technology Services Team Lead

- Lead the ATS team to ensure compliance with Section 508, ADA, and WCAG 2.2 regulations, overseeing three staff members and 3-8 students.
- Scanned 15,000+ web pages using tools like PopeTech, AXE, WAVE, ANDI, and SilkTide to ensure WCAG 2.2 compliance. Also assisted developers with making their platforms meeet WCAG standards.
- Reviewed campus IT requests for accessibility barriers, developed Equally Effective Alternate Access Plans (EEAAPs) for high-risk products.
- Trained 25+ student assistants on document remediation, resulting in 15,000+ pages of instructional materials in two years, saving roughly $100,000. We use tools such as Adobe, CommonLook, Equidox, CidiLabs tool suite, and more. Also deployed new workflows to reduce captioning costs by 70% in one semester.
- Engaged campus stake holders on new accessibility developments, laws, and services, and attended student, staff, and faculty focused events to increase awareness and buy-in on accessibility.
- Lead and chaired four campus wide meetings, including Accessible Procurement Sub Committee, Accessible Web Sub Committee, Accessible Instructional Materials Sub Committee, and the Accessible Technology Initiative Executive Steering Committee.
Assistive Technologist

- Manage a 35-seat Assistive Technology Center (ATC) with AT software and hardware solutions.
- Provide training and troubleshooting services for assistive technology tools.
- Collaborate with Services to Students with Disabilities to deploy and develop new assistive technology solutions for our users.
3D Printing, Modeling, and Makerspace Related projects
- How to Make a Custom 3D Printed Map: Presented at the CSUN 2022 Conference on creating customized tactile maps for low-vision and blind individuals.
- Switch Covers I made protective equipment for critical campus infrastructure. These PETG covers cost $3 in material, and were used to protect $400 network switches.
- Fossil Replication A professor asked me if I could scan and print fossils he has collected for his work
- Tactile Learning Models: We made tactile models for low vision students
- Business Card I showed students how they could design and print their own business cards
